Emirates airlines operating services from Dublin in Jan 2012

In all the doom and gloom that has become the recent staple of Irish news, it’s nice to finally hear some good news. And when it comes to good news nothing could be better than the long awaited arrival of the Emirates new European route between Dublin and Dubai. The Emirates landing in Dublin signals good things come to those that wait and Dublin Airport has been waiting a long time to entice the airline to the Emerald Isle.

The move is clever long-term thinking by the Emirates Airline’s management. There is an estimated 5,000 Irish people living in Dubai. The Emirates is a perfect location to be the first port of call for anyone travelling from Irelandto the UAE or beyond; it as a connecting hub, flying on to somewhere like that of Australiaor China.
