The inaugural flight of the Emirates Dubai to Dublinroute touched down in the Emerald Isle today. The flight marks the 118th worldwide destination for the Emirates Airline and a greater opportunity of travel and tourism for Ireland.

Transport Minister Leo Varadkar who was abroad for the flight was quoted “big boost for tourism, business and aviation” he also went on to say that it “improves our connectivity with India, Australia and New Zealand”.(http://www.breakingnews.ie/ireland/dublin-dubai-air-link-launched-535193.html). The President of Emirates Tim Clark said “We are now not only connecting Ireland to Dubai but to 100’s of destinations throughout the world.” (http://uk.news.yahoo.com/dublin-dubai-air-launched-105614927.html)

It’s hoped that this new route will increase tourism to Ireland and business connections between Ireland, the UAE and beyond

Let’s hope this new venture can help brighten the Irish economy and signal the start of 2012 as a year of growth and the formation of new friendships and business connections between Ireland and the world.
