Visa Issues

Visa and Processing

CCM  will organise work permits or work visas for successful non-EEA nationals  . You must not enter Ireland without having the correct work permit or visa. It is your responsibility on arrival to register with the Department of Immigration. If in Dublin present yourself at the immigration office Harcourt Sq Dublin 2. (beside Harcourt sq Garda Station. Outside Dublin present yourself at your local Garda Station. Your passport will be stamped giving you permission to stay in the country for the duration of your work permit or visa. You may not start work until your work permit or visa has been issued.  http://foreignaffairs.gov.ie/

It is necessary to obtain a Police Clearance Report from the country in which you have been living for the last five years. The hospitals do not issue a letter requesting this information. It us up to you, the candidate, to contact your local police station and ask for a check to be carried out in your name. If you have difficulty with this application please let us know. Again, this process can take up to 42 days!

Medical Requirements

Candidates that are offered positions in Ireland will have to have a Medical/Occupational Health Clearance performed prior to taking up employment. CCM will be able to guide you through this routine procedure.
