Job Summary: Our client is seeking a Consultant Paediatric Surgeon to join their team. The hospital is state-of-the-art Joint Commission International Accredited (JCIA) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and national referral centres for Oncology, Organ Transplantations, Cardiovascular Diseases, Neurosciences and Genetic Diseases with postgraduate education programs that support both Residency and Fellowship training.

Job Summary:  Primary Duties: 

• Provides high quality patient care in all aspects of General Pediatric Surgery/Urology according to his/her approved clinical privileges.
• Provides consultation (inpatient, and emergency room) upon request and responds in a timely manner within the prescribed timeframe as outlined in hospital policy.
• Responsible for the timely completion, competencies, accuracy and eligibility of the medical record. 
• Provides on-call service and ensures availability and response time within the prescribed timeframe in accordance with hospital policy.
• Conducts daily morning rounds to identify patients ready for discharge. Ensures that discharge orders are written 24 hours prior to discharge.
• Performs any other clinical responsibilities related to the speciality, as assigned.
• Provides orientation, bedside training and supervision to interns, residents and fellows as assigned.
• Participates in department's educational activities and training programs of the department. Partakes in national and international medical conferences.
• Maintains and enhances professional knowledge and continuing education requirements.
• Participates in self-and others' education, training and development as applicable.

• Standard Medical Degree
• Ideally CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training), OR equivalent certification, in the specialist area e.g. American / Canadian Board registration, Australian / Irish / New Zealand / UK Fellowships, Facharzt (German), French Board DES US Board / UK / Irish /Canadian / Australian Fellowship plus at least 10 years’ experience post fellowship
• Minimum 3-5 years substantive post work experience in a full time permanent Consultant position
• Current Medical Registration
• Excellent English language skills
