Job Overview: Our client is seeking an Ophthalmology (Inpatient) Staff Nurse to join their team. The Hospital provides high quality tertiary ophthalmic care and promotes expanded Kingdom-wide eye care through its outreach, educational, and research programs. The hospital has 229 inpatient beds, 15 operating rooms, an outpatient clinic with more than 50 examination lanes, and a large emergency room that works 24 hours/7 days a week for urgent eye treatment. The Department of Ophthalmology offers tertiary ophthalmic services through its subspecialty divisions, which include Anterior Segment, Glaucoma, Vitreo-Retina, Pediatric Ophthalmology/Strabismus, Oculoplastics/Orbit, Neuro-Ophthalmology and Uveitis. Delivers direct patient care; provides clinical supervision when acting as relief Charge Nurse; assesses and anticipates patient's health needs and applies interventions based on specialized knowledge and skills; promotes and restores patient's health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with Physicians and multi-disciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients and family members; functions as a role model for RN II positions in the implementation of the nursing process.
