Job Overview:  An opportunity has become available for a Palliative Care Nurse to join our client hospital within the Mid-West region of Western Australia. CCM Recruitment are looking for an experienced Palliative Care Nurse for our client hospital in Western Australia. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing specialist nursing to meet the needs of patients with complex or resource intensive needs. The positions are well-suited for Registered Nurses who specialise in Palliative Care.

 
Job Summary - Primary Duties:

  • Providing support and expert advice to patients, their families, and members of the multidisciplinary team on matters relating to Palliative Care to ensure provision of best practice and quality patient care.
  • Interacting with patients, families, and other visitors in a courteous, helpful manner.
  • Planning, coordinating, and providing advanced clinical assessment, advanced knowledge in symptom management, and education to support patients and their families through a life limiting illness. 
  • Attend mandatory staff development programs

Experience and Education Requirements

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 18-24 months clinical experience in the related specialty (depending on hospital location) 
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic with a passion for delivering high quality of care
