Job Overview: CCM Recruitment are currently seeking suitable candidates for a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Infection Prevention and Control Specialist Nurse role for a large Private hospital facility in Limerick. 

The Infection Prevention and Control nurse will have an overall responsibility for the monitoring, surveillance, investigation,  prevention & control of hospital acquired infections in conjunction with the consultant microbiologist. You will be responsible for production agreed KPI reports which will be submitted to the Quality & Patient safety and infection control committee, participate in teams and projects and Facilitate co-ordination, co-operation and liaison across healthcare teams and programmes.

Educational/Professional Qualifications

• Recognised Post Graduate Clinical Qualification in Infection Prevention & Control.
• Have at least 5 years acute post registration experience in the last 7 years.
• Evidence of relevant experience in the specialist area of Infection Prevention & Control. 
• Strong ‘people management’ and change management experience. (Desirable)
• Have acute hospital nursing experience to include experience in a nurse management role (Desirable)
